ANKARA, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Turkish President Abdullah Gul said here on Wednesday that all security problems between Afghanistan and Pakistan will be solved through dialogue.

Gul made this remarks at a joint press conference with the Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zerdari after their two-day trilateral summit.

"We believe that all security problems between Afghanistan and Pakistan will be solved through dialogue. Furthermore, confidence, stability, economic cooperation and prosperity will dominate the region," Gul said.

"The confidence and cooperation among our three countries are crucial. We have taken a decision to continue such confidence and cooperation," the president underlined.

"We are all aware of those who may want to affect the process. Despite them, the process will go on," said Gul, adding "at the end of this process, it is the countries of the region that will solve the problems of the region."

A joint statement issued after the trilateral summit emphasized the need to explore the full potential of the three countries in order to achieve the development objectives for the prosperity of their peoples and to improve the transport connectivity among the three partner countries.
