YEREVAN, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan looks set to be re-elected in the forthcoming presidential poll scheduled for Feb. 18, a survey has found.
Sargsyan is a runaway favorite with the support of 66 percent of voters, according to a Gallup poll whose results were released Tuesday.
Former Foreign Minister Raffi Hovhannisyan is in a distant second place with 10 percent of support, followed by former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan with 4 percent.
A total of 39 percent of respondents expressed their willingness to take part in the presidential elections. The survey has also showed that television is the most influential tool in the electoral campaign.
Some 1,020 prospective voters were surveyed in the poll from December 2012 to February 2013.
