WASHINGTON, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating a small jet crash in the southern state of Georgia that killed five people, the board said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, the crash occurred on Wednesday in Thomson, Georgia, involving a Beech 390 plane that overran the runway during landing and crashed into the woods.
The plane carrying seven people had departed from John Tune Airport in Nashville, Tennessee, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Five people on board were killed and the other two injured in the crash.
