DAMASCUS, April 4 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and seven others wounded when armed rebels fired improvised rockets at two districts of the central province of Homs, pro- government Sham FM reported.
The rockets slammed Arman and Madajee in Homs, the report said, giving no further details.
Meanwhile, the opposition's Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that government forces shelled several rebellious suburbs of the capital Damascus, including Adra, Zamalka, Mouadamiya, al-Eteiba, Maliha and Zabadani.
It said several people were injured due to the shelling, adding that a child was killed when rockets slammed the rebellious suburb of Douma.
The two-year crisis in Syria is dragging on with no foreseeable solution in sight. The UN has recently place the death toll of the bloody conflict at 70,000.
