ANKARA, April 17 (Xinhua) -- A note claiming that a bomb was on board a Turkish plane suspended its flight to Diyarbakir at Istanbul airport in early morning of Wednesday, local media reported.

Before taking off, the crew found a note writing in English saying that "there is a bomb on this plane." The plane then evacuated all the 117 passengers and pulled up to the parking area.

So far, no trace of explosives were found on the plane. The passengers were flown to Diyarbakir on a different plane.

Further investigation is still under way.

On Tuesday morning, there was also a bomb suspicion which forced return of a Turkish plane en route to Afghanistan at Istanbul. Police did not find any claimed explosive device on the plane.
