Two killed in plane crash in U.S. Texas

HOUSTON, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed when an aircraft crashed in a residential neighborhood in the U.S. state of Texas on Sunday, according to authorities.

The crash occurred near the city of Patton Village, about 58 km northeast of Houston, at around 8:40 a.m. local time Sunday, authorities said. The plane is described as a fixed wing single-engine aircraft.

Residents in the area reported hearing the plane crash and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the scene.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the identities of the victims have not been determined. The incident is under investigation led by the Federal Aviation Administration.
