Mexico reports 1,757 new COVID-19 cases

MEXICO CITY, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Mexico on Tuesday reported 1,757 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 1,011,153, according to the Health Ministry.

It also reported 165 new deaths, taking national count to 99,026.

Due to the pandemic, Mexico, the second largest economy in Latin America after Brazil, is facing a record economic decline of 9 percent for 2020, according to the International Monetary Fund. Enditem
