BEIJING, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 252 km WSW of Adak, Alaska at 1238 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 42.0 km, was initially determined to be at 50.881 degrees north latitude and 179.8959 degrees west longitude. Enditem
