RIO DE JANEIRO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Chile international forward Carlos Palacios has joined Internacional on a year-long loan from Union Espanola, the Brazilian club said on Monday.
In a statement, Internacional said they would have the option of securing the 20-year-old on a permanent deal when the loan period expires.
"I am very happy to arrive at a club with so much history in Brazil and South America," Palacios said. "I've come to achieve great things and I hope I can play at my best level."
Palacios becomes the seventh Chilean to play for Internacional, following Elias Figueroa, Juan Carlos Letelier, Eros Perez, Charles Aranguiz, Paulo Magalhaes and Felipe Gutierrez.
He will be available for his new club following the international break in which Chile will play a friendly against Bolivia in Rancagua on Friday. Enditem
