BEIJING, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The United States should be prioritized in the next-stage investigation of COVID-19 virus tracing, as the country was slow to test people at an early stage, said a Chinese epidemiologist.
Also, the United States possesses so many biological laboratories all around the world, Zeng Guang, chief epidemiologist of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, told the Beijing-based Global Times newspaper on Wednesday.
"All bio-weapons related subjects that the country has should be subject to scrutiny," Zeng said.
The Global Times report said more scientific evidence in countries such as the United States and France has emerged to suggest that those countries may have had COVID-19 cases before they officially confirmed, and such evidence should not go unnoticed. Enditem
