SUVA, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Fiji reported on Friday one more COVID-19 border quarantine case, who is a 57-year-old Fijian man.

Fiji's Ministry of Health said the man, who returned to Fiji on Oct. 24, was on a repatriation flight from Nairobi, which made stops in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Auckland en route.

The Fijian man did not display any symptoms since his arrival in Nadi, Fiji's third largest city. The entry test was conducted on day two of quarantine as part of the ministry's standard border process. The man, who is now in stable condition, has since been under the compulsory 14-day quarantine in Lautoka, Fiji's second largest city.

On Oct. 21, the ministry also confirmed a new COVID-19 case, who arrived in the island nation through a repatriation flight from India earlier this month.

Fiji has had 34 COVID-19 cases since March 19 when the island nation confirmed its first COVID-19 case. Two of them have died and most of them have fully recovered.

Fiji still maintains a strict travel restriction for foreign visitors as it also keeps a nationwide curfew effective from March 30. Enditem
