Laos discharges one more COVID-19 patient

VIENTIANE, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- One more COVID-19 patient recovered and was discharged from hospital in the Lao capital Vientiane on Monday.

Deputy Director General of the Department of Communicable Diseases Control under Lao Ministry of Health, Sisavath Soutthaniraxy, told a press briefing in Lao capital Vientiane on Monday that the recovered patient is a 29-year-old man returning from the International Army Games held in Russia in September.

The patient was confirmed as the country's 23rd case of COVID-19 and had been treated in the Mittaphab Hospital (Hospital 150) since Sept. 10.

The total number of confirmed cases in Laos remained at 24, and 23 patients have recovered.

The last remaining COVID-19 patient is being treated in the Mittaphab Hospital.

Laos reported its first two confirmed COVID-19 cases on March 24. Enditem
