Roadside bomb wounds 7 civilians in W. Afghanistan

HERAT, Afghanistan, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Seven civilians were injured as their vehicle ran over an explosive device in Kushki Kuhna district of Afghanistan's western Herat province on Friday, a news release of the provincial government said.

The incident took place at 08:00 a.m. local time, and the injured were all women, the news release added.

The local government has blamed Taliban militants for the roadside bomb strike, saying the explosive device was planted by Taliban insurgents on the road.

Taliban militants haven't made a comment yet. Enditem
