JAKARTA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 5,325 within one day to 1,523,179, with the death toll adding by 97 to 41,151, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
According to the ministry, 5,439 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 1,361,017.
The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 1,240 new cases, Banten 850, West Java 661, South Kalimantan 283 and East Java 274.
No new positive cases were found in North Maluku province. Enditem
