Vietnam reports 11 new COVID-19 cases, 2,659 in total

HANOI, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday, raising the total confirmed cases in the country to 2,659, according to the country's Ministry of Health.

The new cases included two foreign experts and nine Vietnamese citizens who recently entered the country from abroad and were quarantined upon arrival, said the ministry.

As many as 2,429 patients have been given the all-clear, up seven from Tuesday, the ministry said, adding that nearly 36,700 people are being quarantined and monitored. Enditem
