Singapore reports 19 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the tally to 61,378.

Of the new cases, 16 are imported cases and three are community cases.

On Monday, 20 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries from the coronavirus to 60,953, the ministry said.

There are currently 135 active cases being treated in hospitals. Of them, three patients are in critical condition and held in the intensive care unit.

Furthermore, 259 cases with mild symptoms are being isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Altogether 31 people have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection. Enditem
