Foreign capital inflow reaches 1 bln USD this week: Indonesian central bank

JAKARTA, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The Bank Indonesia said on Friday that foreign capital inflow from May 31 to June 4 reached 1.005 billion U.S. dollars, more than doubled compared to the previous week with 0.419 billion U.S. dollars.

"Based on transaction data, non-residents in the domestic financial market have net purchases of 14.68 trillion Indonesian rupiah (1.005 billion U.S. dollars)," said Erwin Haryono, a spokesman of the Indonesian central bank.

He explained that foreign capital entering the government securities (SBN) market reached 0.840 billion U.S. dollars, while foreign capital to the stock market in the same period was 0.165 billion U.S. dollars.

Foreign capital outflow from Indonesia totaled 0.166 billion U.S. dollars from Jan. 1 to June 3. Enditem
