BOGOTA, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Five people died in a small plane crash Wednesday, transportation authorities said.

The Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics (Aerocivil) said the Cessna 206 plane of the Nautica de Oriente Company crashed on a hill in the northwestern city of San Antonio de Prado.

The plane took off from Olaya Herrera's airport in the northwestern province of Antioquia and headed for the town of Vigia del Fuerte. It crashed four minutes after it was reported missing at 09:40 a.m. local time (1440 GMT).

All the five people on board the plane, including the pilot and four passengers, were all killed, the Aerocivil said. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
