The EU president says that the Group of 20 leading economies have agreed to increase the resources of the International Monetary Fund to help stem the European debt crisis, but haven't decided how to do so.

Herman Van Rompuy says that the decision was reached at a summit Friday in the French resort of Cannes. European and non-European countries disagree about how to better use the IMF to help.

Van Rompuy also called for a "national consensus" of all political forces in Greece on the sweeping European rescue plan for Greece and boosting confidence in the eurozone.
