25 killed in ammunition depot blast in Turkey

ANKARA, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-five military pesonnel were killed and four others wounded in a huge blast of a military ammunition depot in central Turkey, Turkish military said on Thursday.

The blast took place in an ammunition depot in the city of Afyonkarahisar at about 9:15 p.m. local time (1815 GMT) on Wednesday, the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces announced in a statement posted on its website.
