DUBLIN, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Ireland on Friday evening expressed shocks at the deadly attacks still unfolding in Paris.

"Once again we are witnessing carnage on the streets of Paris. Again the capital is suffering at the hands of those who seek only to wreak havoc and destruction on civil society," Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny said in a statement.

"My thoughts and those of all the Irish people are with the French people this evening," Kenny said. "As ever we stand as one with them and will never bend to the evil of terrorism."

Meanwhile, Irish Deputy Prime Minister Joan Burton also said her thoughts are with the people of Paris following multiple terror attacks across the city.

"I am deeply appalled at the unfolding events in Paris and the cold blooded murder of innocent people," she said.

"I fervently hope further loss of life can be prevented by the French authorities who are responding tonight to a nightmarish situation," she added.
