SINGAPORE, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday condemned the deadly attacks in Paris, saying "an attack like this is an attack on our shared humanity."

Lee expressed his shock at the explosions and a series of shootings which reportedly left at least 140 people dead overnight Friday in Paris.

He wrote on his Facebook page that "It is not the first time innocent civilians have been massacred like this in this troubled world. But each time it happens we again feel appalled and outraged beyond words."

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families, and to the people and government of Paris and France," he added.

Lee was about to leave for the Turkish city of Antalya for the G20 summit, where terrorism was on the agenda.

PM Lee thought this latest incident in Paris rendered the discussions more relevant and urgent than ever.
