Investigation of Pusan plane crash revealed

BEIJING, May 8(Xinhuanet)-- The Republic of Korea(ROK) revealedthe conclusions of an investigation into the crash of an Air China flight on April 15, 2002, said the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China on Sunday.

It found that the crew mistakenly realized the least landing conditions for broad aircraft and thus gave up on lifting the aircraft again, according to a source from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China.

Air China holds that in addition to crew factors, bad weather and mismanagement from air traffic control contributed to the accident.

On April 15, 2002, an Air China's Boeing 767-200 crashed into amountain near Pusan airport. According to the international civil aviation agreement, ROK, China and the United States participated in the investigation. Enditem
