China's premier theater to present New Year concert

A New Year concert will be staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on Jan. 1 and 2, 2021.

Performed by the NCPA's orchestra and chorus, the show will include symphonic overture "Ode to Red Flag," classical guitar and orchestra "A Lovely Rose," and Beethoven's masterpiece "Egmont Overture," among others.

The concert will be conducted by Lyu Jia, a renowned Chinese conductor who has conducted about 2,000 orchestral concerts and opera performances in Europe and America.
