Pavilion Features

The exterior of the pavilion adopts "liquid glass" spray technology to make the glass walls look more sparkling. Seven water-filled glass pillars are installed at the entrance. Characters and patterns of "Love without Borders" are formed in a circle, taking advantage of the pressure differences of water inside the pillars.

Pavilion Highlights

Highlight 1:Star Avenue for CharityA star avenue for charity is erected on the first floor of the pavilion to honor people active in public charities.

Highlight 2:Surnames of ChinaGold-forged characters of 568 Chinese surnames are displayed on the second floor.

Highlight 3:Trend for world brandsVisitors can acquaint themselves with trend for world brands on the European and American Culture Street.

Highlight 4:Paper-Making TechnologyVisitors can witness how to make paper on the Asian Culture Street.

Pavilion Features

The INBAR is committed to promoting the sustainable use of bamboo and rattan. Bamboo and rattan is used to make the pavilion's exterior, interior and floor, which is eco-friendly. Various exhibits made of bamboo and rattan, such as instruments, furniture, containers and ornaments, display the important role of such materials in daily life. The exhibition also shows the organization's global network and its contributions to poverty eradication, environment protection and international cooperation.

Pavilion Highlights

Highlight 1: The short movies on the LED screen on the exterior wall present the favorable living environment created by bamboo and rattan as well as the charms of nature.

Highlight 2: The video column inside the pavilion is a showcase for different bamboo structures in the world and the significance of bamboo and rattan to human life.

Pavilion Profile

Theme: Men and Women for Better Cities

Pavilion Features

Founded in May 2004, UCLG, with its secretariat in Barcelona, is known as the largest international organization of its kind. UCLG consists of governmental associations of 112 countries/regions and over 1,000 cities of 95 countries/regions. The roofless pavilion has a reception area, an exhibition area, a recreational area and a members area. In the exhibition area eight touch screens offer information for UCLG's eight sections. With a touch on a city on the screen, visitors can see its home country/region highlighted on the globe. The pavilion aims to promote cooperation between UCLG members with various development phases and cultures.

Pavilion Highlights

Highlight 1: Visitors in the recreational area may interact through the screen with people online.

Highlight 2: The members area is used for various meetings.
