BUENOS AIRES, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Argentine soccer player Juan Ramon Riquelme said Monday he "hopes" that Lionel Messi adds to the delegation for the Olympic Games of Beijing, TV channel TyC Sports said on Monday.

One day before the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) makes its decision over the refusal of the Barcelona club from Spain to assign Messi, Riquelme said "he never plays bad, like (Pablo) Aimar, Ronaldihno or Kaka."

Riqueleme, offensive midfield player from Boca Juniors club told TyC Sports: "We hope that Messi is with us," adding that most of the players from the team "know each other from the Major (Selection), we have a very good relationship and together with the more of 23 years old we are to help and to accompany."

Argentina will play Tuesday in Tokyo with Japan, the last friendly before the Olympic Games to defend its gold medal won in Athens 2004.
