Frenchman Despres win 13th stage on motorbikes in Dakar Rally

BUENOS AIRES, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Frenchman Cyril Despres (KTM)won on Friday the 13th stage on motorbike in the Dakar Argentina-Chile Rally, followed by the overall leader Spaniard Mark Coma (KTM).

Despres, champion of the Rally 2005 and 2007, timed 2 hours 33 minutes 35 seconds in the 220km of the special trail of the day, located in the Argentine province of Cordoba.

Coma arrived with 1'45" later from Despres, followed by French David Fretigne (Yamaha) with 2'37" behind, Spaniard Jordi Viladoms(KTM) with 3'52" later.

The stage on Saturday will be last one and will be from Cordoba to Buenos Aires, where Coma will have the great opportunity of winning again the Rally, since he has 1:30 of advantage over Despres.
