MAOERSHAN, Northeast China, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Russian biathletes enjoyed another harvest here on Friday as the individual elites-studded "dream team" won the mixed relay with overwhelming advantages at the Winter Universiade.
The Russian quartets, led by Anna Kunaeva in women's 2X6km and Sergey Balandin in men's 2X7.5km, shrugged aside eight missed targets and let the superior skiing propel themselves to finish the distance first in one hour 16 minutes and 57.7 seconds.
France finished second in 1:19:09.5 with six missed targets and Ukraine stood third in 1:19:41.8 after missing 13 targets.
Russian biathletes had wrapped up six of seven golds on offer so far at the Universiade with their sole defeat to Ukraine in the men's pursuit race on Wednesday.
The five-day biathlon events will conclude on Saturday with both men's and women's mass start.
