Designer Betsey Johnson parades her outrageous designs down the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, with enthusiastic support from celebrities Ciara, Denise Richards and Kelly Osbourne.

Ageless Betsey Johnson lit up New York Fashion Week's Lincoln Center venue with her signature dazzle.

And her Spring 2011 collection is a riotous ode to the Big Apple.

SOUNDBITE; Betsey Johnson, designer, saying (English):

"It's just a fun celebration of New York City, the fashion business, being a real part of New York at the Lincoln Center. I mean it's, and it's very nostalgic. I know I'm going to cry and the clothes are everything - my complete schizophrenic mix."

The eccentric designer is renowned for her vibrant colors and outrageous accessories and apparel.

Models look like they're dancing the catwalk, often with a smile.

And Johnson's celebrity fans were not disappointed.

R&B artist Ciara was the first to sing her praises.

SOUNDBITE: Ciara, singer, saying (English):

"Her clothing is amazing. The energy is crazy. Just very fun and inspiring and I love that. As a performer, I need clothing that inspires me. I need clothing that gives me energy and that's what her clothing does."

Actress and former model, Denise Richards loved the show … and the designer.

SOUNDBITE: Denise Richards, actress and former fashion model, saying (English):

"Betsey is the most youthful person and she's very vibrant and she's just colorful and very beautiful."

Media personality, Kelly Osbourne says Johnson's models really have fun.

SOUNDBITE: Kelly Osbourne, media personality, saying (English):

"They look like they're enjoying what they're doing rather than looking hungry in a pretty dress. They look like they're having the best time because Betsey makes clothes that make you want to have fun."

And it wouldn't be a Betsey Johnson show without the designer's famous cartwheel down the runway.
