South Korea has issued a cyberattack alert after government websites shut down on the anniversary of the start of the Korean War.

Officials said Tuesday they were still investigating whether hacking was responsible. The alert warns government and the public sector to be wary of the possibility of cyberattacks.

Multiple government websites and at least one media website were down.

The shutdown happened on the 63rd anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War.
