ZHUJI, China, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- With five players scoring in double digits, the Beijing Ducks beat the Tianjin Pioneers 101-84 in the CBA here on Saturday.
Beijing's Jonathan Gibson scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Zhu Yanxi made five 3-pointers of his seven attempts and scored 15 points. Li Muhao added 13 points.
"We gave them a chance to take a championship-style performance," Tianjin's coach Liu Tie said after the match.
Li scored 10 points while Zhu Yanxi made four 3-pointers, helping Beijing take a 35-29 lead at the end of the first quarter. Lin Tingqian scored 12 points in the first half, but Beijing took an 8-0 run and widened the gap to 12 points after Gibson's lay-up.
Beijing kept its momentum and increased the advantage to 86-67 at the end of the third quarter, and killed the game with ease.
Lin scored a game-high 25 points with eight assists, while Meng Zikai scored 18 points for Tianjin. Enditem
