MEXICO CITY, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Argentine manager Pablo Guede has parted ways with Tijuana after a run of six losses in eight matches, the Liga MX club said on Monday.

The announcement came a day after Tijuana surrendered a two-goal lead at home to Mazatlan to lose 3-2.

"We have worked very hard, but the results have not been as we'd hoped," the 46-year-old said in a statement to fans. "That is why the club and I have decided, by mutual agreement, to end my tenure.

"In football, we never stop learning. At Tijuana, I've learned some valuable lessons and made friends for life that will allow me to continue growing as a coach and as a human being. I wish you success and hope that we can meet in the future."

Tijuana are currently 11th in the 18-team Liga MX standings with four wins, four draws and six losses

Guede, who had been in the role for 10 months, is expected to be replaced by former Mexico national team boss Miguel Herrera, according to local media reports. Enditem
