BRATISLAVA, May 1 (Xinhua) -- The Levice Patriots swept Inter Bratislava in their semifinal playoff series of the Slovak basketball premiership SBL with an unexpectedly easy 3-0 sweep, winning the decider with emphasis 82-56 on Saturday.

The Patriots were intent on advancing to only their third finals in the 80 years of the club's existence after becoming just the second team to win on Inter Bratislava's court in Game 2 since Oleg Melescenko took over as head coach.

The home team started fulfilling its goal early on, stretching a small four-point lead from the first period to eight at half-time and to 16 after the third period, coasting to an easy 82-56 victory in the end.

The other semifinal series is much more even with both Spisska Nova Ves and Svit trading blows in offense-laden match-ups. The Spis Knight grabbed a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series after a dominant 113-87 victory in Game 3 over Iskra Svit.

After getting overrun by the "bears" in Game 2, the Spis Knights shifted into higher gear from the get-go on Saturday, taking the first period by storm 35-19.

The lead provided a comfortable buffer for the home team and it just needed to maintain it throughout the rest of the match, stretching it to 24 points in the final outing.

The Knights were especially successful from behind the three-point line, sinking a total of 17 long-range attempts. Svit's American shooting guard De'Sean Parsons was close to a triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists amassed but it wasn't enough to lead his team to victory. Enditem
