WINDHOEK, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Under-20 football squad plans to impress and leave a mark at the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations to be held in Mauritania from Feb. 14 to March. 4, Namibia's coach James Britz said Tuesday.

The squad, which will leave Saturday, is in Group B with Tunisia, the Central African Republic (CAR) and Burkina Faso.

"We face two other debutantes in the group, Tunisia and CAR, and so it will be equal footing. We will go early to make sure we acclimatize well and see if we can get in a friendly or two before the finals start," Britz said.

"We have not faced them before and that makes it interesting to play them. We will plan for each of them accordingly and anything is possible," he added.

Namibia will open their campaign against CAR, before facing Tunisia in their second game, concluding the group stages when they lock horns with Burkina Faso.

This will be the first edition in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations to have expanded to 12 teams instead of eight. The top four teams of the tournament would have normally qualified for the 2021 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia as the CAF representatives. Enditem
