LUANDA, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Angolan President Joao Lourenco on Tuesday condemned the campaigns being carried out by internal and external forces to discredit the country and its system of justice.
Addressing the opening of the 2021 Judicial Year, Lourenco said that the country has been taking courageous steps since 2017 in the fight against corruption and impunity, adding that justice organs have been investigating, trying and sentencing present and former public servants of all levels.
He also underlined the importance of an independent and speedier system of justice that protects the citizen, regardless of their social status. Enditem
