ADDIS ABABA, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopia registered 929 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 356,772 on Wednesday evening, said the country's Ministry of Health.
The ministry reported 37 new COVID-19-related deaths and 877 recoveries in the same period, bringing the national death toll to 6,103 and total recoveries to 325,865.
Ethiopia, Africa's second-most populous nation, has so far reported the largest caseload in the East Africa region.
Amid the national push for vaccination, the country has administered 3,931,371 COVID-19 vaccine doses, according to the ministry. Enditem
