Prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago tests positive for COVID-19

PORT OF SPAIN, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Keith Rowley, prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, said Tuesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been quarantined under medical supervision.

The 71-year-old prime minister said on his Facebook account that he began experiencing flu-like symptoms on Monday night and was subsequently tested for COVID-19.

Trinidad and Tobago has so far registered 8,214 cases with 145 deaths from the disease. Enditem
