COVID-19 cases rise to 82,236 in Myanmar

YANGON, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 82,236 in Myanmar on Tuesday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry, with 1,731 new infections in the past 24 hours.

The death toll has increased to 1,784, with 19 new deaths on Tuesday.

A total of 60,965 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.

The virus was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 this year and over 1.059 million samples have been tested for the disease. Enditem
