Mongolia reports 210 new COVID-19 cases, total tops 5,000

ULAN BATOR, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia reported 210 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours -- the highest daily increase, bringing its total tally to 5,186, the country's health ministry said Monday.

Of the latest cases, 206 were reported in Ulan Bator, the country's capital and hardest-hit city, while three were reported in the central province of Tuv, and the remaining one was imported from abroad, the ministry said in a statement.

The source of 25 of the latest confirmed cases has not been identified, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile, 129 more patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 3,606.

The country has registered nine COVID-19-related deaths so far. Enditem
