KABUL, May 25 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were wounded after a roadside bomb blast hit a military vehicle on the northern outskirts of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan on Tuesday, a security source confirmed.

"The incident occurred in surrounding areas of Qarabagh district along a provincial road roughly at 7:35 a.m. local time. The wounded included a child, two civilians and three Afghan National Army personnel," the source told Xinhua anonymously.

The wounded had been shifted to a hospital and the district police hade secured the area.

A local TV channel reported two successive explosions in the district where the Afghan national intelligence agency arrested three members of Taliban insurgent group in recent days.

Over the past months, big Afghan cities have witnessed a spate of terror attacks staged by the Taliban insurgents and Islamic State (IS) outfit opposing the government. While the U.S. and NATO troops have been leaving the country, violence in the country is on the rise. Enditem
