MOSCOW, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Russia confirmed 7,639 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours, the lowest daily number since Sept. 26, taking the nationwide tally to 4,855,128, the official monitoring and response center said Thursday.
The national COVID-19 death toll rose by 351 to 112,246 in the past day, while the number of recoveries grew by 7,788 to 4,472,338.
Meanwhile, Moscow, Russia's worst-hit region, reported 2,114 new cases, taking the city's total to 1,107,949.
More than 130.6 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted across the country. Enditem
