RAMALLAH, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ismail Haniyeh, politburo chief of Hamas movement, said on Sunday that a Hamas delegation will visit Cairo to meet Egyptian officials to discuss the latest developments of the Palestinian issues.
The delegation will be headed by Saleh al-Arouri, deputy chief of Hamas, Haniyeh said in a press statement.
He said many issues will be discussed with the Egyptian officials, including the Palestinian reconciliation efforts, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and the latest developments of the understandings between the movement and Israel.
This visit comes after Fatah and Hamas announced their agreement to take real steps to hold general elections as soon as possible. Enditem
