BEIRUT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's state security arrested on Friday a Syrian national for allegedly being a member of the Islamic State (IS) group, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.
The suspect was arrested inside a camp in Arsal, and accused of participating in the battles of Arsal, al-Qaa and Ras Baalbek with IS a few years ago. During a battle, he targeted a vehicle of the Lebanese army which resulted in the death and injury of a number of soldiers.
The suspect was referred to judicial authorities for investigation and other legal procedures. Enditem
