Chongqing overtakes Shandong, Shanghai smashes Hebei in Chinese Super League

SUZHOU, China, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chongqing Lifan fought back from three goals down to beat Shandong Luneng 4-3, while Shanghai Shenhua defeated Hebei China Fortune 4-1 in the first leg of their 5th-6th and 7th-8th place competition respectively at the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Friday.

Moises Lima Magalhaes kicked the ball home in the third minute on Liu Binbins's cross and Roger Guedes made it two after 15 minutes.

When Lifan players still tried to bunch up, Guo Tianyu's volley fired into the net from a comfortable range to give Luneng a 3-0 lead after 46 minutes.

Just one minute later, Dong Honglin brought one goal back for Lifan by stealing the ball from Luneng's goalkeeper.

Luneng's weak defense continued and finally buried their advantage within just two minutes. In the 68th minute, unmarked Marcelo Cirino headed in the second goal for Lifan, and Fernandinho Silva converted the equalizer from almost the same position in the 70th minute.

Marcinho contributed the winning shot for Lifan in the 88th minute. The Brazilian striker dribbled through three defenders, then scored calmly in the one-on-one with Luneng's goalkeeper.
