SUZHOU, China, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin Teda claimed a 5-1 victory over Changchun Yatai, while Jiangsu Suning beat Kunshan FC 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup here on Tuesday.

Brazilian striker Tiquinho Soares and Sandro Lima played major roles as they both pocketed two goals for Tianjin.

Soares broke the stalemate in the 15th minute thanks to a cross contributed by Che Shiwei to gift Tianjin a 1-0 lead over Changchun.

In the 28th minute, Frank Acheampong's corner kick gifted Qiu Tianyi a header, who imitated Cristiano Ronaldo to celebrate his goal.

Soares' second goal came in the 39th minute when he smashed in a volley after receiving a direct pass.

In the second half, Lima proved himself right after he was put on the pitch by converting a header with the precise assist of Hui Jiakang in the 65th minute. Just seven minutes later, it was Lima again who made a direct shot targeting the middle of the net to add the fifth goal for Tianjin.

Confronted with complete failure, Changchun finally got a consolation goal in the 76th minute due to Yang Chaosheng's header.

Elsewhere, facing Kunshan's aggressive attack, Suning did not establish much of an advantage in the first half as the champions of the 2020 Chinese Super League.

The opportunity emerged in the 40th minute when Wang Jiajie made a mistake in rolling the ball back to his teammate. Huang Zichang snatched the ball and gave it to Wu Xi who made it 1-0 for Suning with a tap-in.

Kunshan still nipped Suning tightly in the second half until the 87th minute. After Zhang Cheng's brilliant pass, Zhang Lingfeng's long distance shot helped Suning seal the victory.
